The AICPA Board of Examiners (BOE ) is embarking on a multi-year project to improve the CPA Examination. The goals of the project are to update the content of the examination based on the practice analysis that is currently under way, continue to improve the psychometric and operational quality of the examination, and enhance the candidate experience.
The Invitation to Comment was developed to provide interested parties with the opportunity to influence the future direction of the CPA Examination. The Invitation to Comment itself is a brief summary of the components of the proposal that was presented to the BOE in September of 2007. A detailed description of the proposed examination improvements can be found in the paper "Improving the Uniform CPA Examination." The responses requested are on a scale that runs from "Strongly Support" to "Strongly Do Not Support" with a request for elaboration on the items that are not supported. We hope this format will make it convenient for you to respond.
