Getting Started with Windows Vista
Before installing the AICPA Sample Test in Window Vista you must first install the Windows component called the dhtmled control, and temporarily disable the User Account Control (UAC). Once these steps are taken, the installation process for Windows Vista is identical to those found in the Sample Test Installation Instructions.
1. To download the dhtmled control, click on the following link:

At this time, the following screen should be displayed:
2. Initiate the download by clicking on the button labeled “download”, then select “Run” from the “File Download – Security Warning” message window.
3. After the file has completed downloading, the message window will display the following prompt; “Do you want to run this software?” Select “run” to initiate the installation.
4. At the License Agreement window select “I Agree”, and then follow the prompts to complete the installation.
5. After installing the dhtmled control, continue with the instructions listed below to toggle the User Account Control (UAC).
User Account Control (UAC)
1. Open the Control Panel and double click on User Accounts.
2. On the User Accounts screen, click on "Turn User Account Control on or off."
3. Click "Continue" to proceed.
4. Uncheck the box next to "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" and then click OK.
5. Click "Restart Now" to restart your machine, and install the SampleTestInstall.MSI by following the Sample Test Installation Instructions.
