The CBT exam requires a software component (a "plugin") to be installed on your PC. When you came to the CBT Page you should have been prompted with a popup that looks like:
The AICPA certifies that this component is of our manufacture (indicated by the text 'Digitally signed by...') and that this component is safe to install. Revisit the starting page, and when the popup appears, click on If you did not receive that popup message, it is likely that your Internet Browser has disabled the ability to add plugins. If you are in a corporate environment contact your network administrator (or help desk) for guidance on enabling plugins. University/home users, can enable the plugin-feature by following these steps:
You will likely have to restart your machine once these chages are made. Then revisit the starting page and you should be able to install the plugin without a problem. If you have allowed the installation of the component, and you are still having this problem, you will need to removed this plugin from your system, and re-install it. Our tech support will be happy to assist you in that process.
